An Architectural Specification form part of the Architect’s contract documentation. The detailed information included in the Architectural Specification inform the building Contractor and the Quantity Surveyor of the Architect’s design intent. Thereby providing the right information at the right time. An Architectural Specification protect and guide the feasibility, tender, procurement and construction stages of the project.
AN OUTLINE SPECIFICATION AND A TENDER SPECIFICATION
An Outline Specification (Stage 1-3) includes building systems that integrates with the Architect’s Design Drawings by means of a Keynote sheet. A Tender Specification (Stage 4) include additional procurement, quality workmanship requirements, and building performance standards to inform the contractor. Thereby providing crucial information that reduces the Architect’s risk and enhances the quality standard of the project.
